Dianne Feinstein, Stop Insulting Your Fellow Americans

The following is a partial transcript of the June 24, 2007, edition of "FOX News Sunday With Chris Wallace" as he talks to Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif:

WALLACE: But let me ask you about yourself. Do you have a problem with talk radio, and would you consider reviving the fairness doctrine, which would require broadcasters to put on opposing points of view?

FEINSTEIN: Well, in my view, talk radio tends to be one-sided. It also tends to be dwelling in hyperbole. It's explosive. It pushes people to, I think, extreme views without a lot of information.

Talk radio pushes people to extremism? Americans are just too stupid to think for themselves? What arrogant, insulting, one-sided hypocritical rhetoric from someone who has abandoned freedom of speech. It's obvious that this is a ploy to silence the competition. Liberals failed in the free marketplace of talk radio, so Feinstein and her ilk want to bring in the government to silence the competitors. You've lost your way, Dianne. If you and your Congressional cronies try to impose this censorship against talk radio, push will come to shove. Free thinking Americans WILL PUSH BACK. Count on it.
