UPDATE: OAKLAND, Calif. – A police officer shot during a traffic stop has been pronounced brain dead but remained on life support, police said Sunday, retracting an earlier statement that he had died.

This is heart wrenching and gut wrenching. How many of us have the guts to do what police officers do every day? I stand in awe. Pray for these families and police officers everywhere.
