It's not Presidents Day!

I wish people would stop saying it's presidents day. The official Federal holiday is Washington's Birthday. It was never changed to generic presidents day. About a dozen states changed it within state, but the official Fed holiday is Washington's Birthday. I say this because calling it presidents day is another attempt at whitewashing our history, making George Washington just another guy, nothing special. Washington is special and the holiday ought to be referred to by its correct name so that kids learn about him and are reminded to honor him as the beloved Father of our great nation. Teach your kids about the true meaning of the holiday, and start by correctly referring to it as Washington's Birthday.

Unions to Ohio Taxpayers: F@*k you, Racists!

Columbus, Ohio, February 17, 2011.

Statehouse rally on Senate Bill 5. About 3,000 people, including over 800 Tea Party and other taxpayers, showed up to support or protest SB5 which curtails collective bargaining. Union members flipped off the taxpayers and called the Tea Party members racists and tea baggers. Oh, the civility!
