Doug Preisse Responds to New GOP Rule for Primaries
Columbus, Ohio. February 7, 2011.
I caught up with Doug Preisse, Chairman, Republican Executive Committee, at the Newt rally Tuesday night and asked him about the GOP not welcoming new Central Committee members, especially Tea Party candidates. Here's his response that includes discussion of the new rule change for the Primaries that the GOP is trying to enforce. Many feel this rule, that only candidates for the GOP committee who voted in the last three Republican primaries will be eligible to sit on the party's 66-member Central Committee, is targeting Tea Party candidates. Notice Preisse doesn't actually answer the last question about his commitment to those who may not be seated. I guess it's implied.
